Excelsa West Sumatra

This was the first bag we picked up that day, though not the first booth we visited. We hadn't tasted it beforehand — there was no tester available, and for a moment, we thought their Excelsa had already sold out. One last check behind the bar proved otherwise.

Excelsa was already familiar to us. We've served it at Bindu before, and it's a coffee we've always enjoyed. Our previous one leaned more toward berries, while this one caught our attention for a different reason: jackfruit, brown sugar, and a tea-like finish — an expression that felt closer to the character we often associate with Excelsa.

We didn't choose it because we expected something completely new. Sometimes, we're simply curious to meet something familiar in a different way.
